Organized by the International school of the Memorial Center “Yad Vashem” in Jerusalem, on July 24, 2016 a seminar on the Holocaust began, with the participation of a group of eighteen educators from the Republic of Serbia and eleven from Republika Srpska. This is the ninth annual seminar for participants from Serbia (fifth for participants from Srpska) as „Seminar for Serbian Speaking Тeachers аnd Еducators“, which was carried out, in the case of Serbia, in the cooperation between the Ministry of education, science and technological development and "Yad Vashem".

In his address the Ambassador of Serbia Milutin Stanojevic expressed gratitude to the hosts for organizing the seminar pointing out the significance of cooperation in the field of studying about and remembering the Holocaust. In this context, he emphasized the importance of the role the educators have in conveying the knowledge in the field of Holocaust studies, underlining also the importance of utilization Israel’s experiences when speaking about the remembrance of the genocide committed against the Serbian people during the World War II.
