A seminar for archivists and librarians from Serbia, organized by the International School at the Holocaust Memorial Center "Yad Vashem" was opened today, 4th of December, attended by 25 representatives of the most important archival and librarian institutions from Serbia. This is the first seminar of this kind organized in "Jad Vashem", which in itself speaks of a high level of cooperation between the relevant institutions in Serbia and this memorial center. It focuses on specific issues related to archival and library work in the Holocaust field and how to use the available documentation for disseminating knowledge about the Holocaust.

On this occasion, participants were welcomed by the Director of the Department of Europe, R. Bad Kaplan, Foreign Affairs Director and Assistant President Dr. J. Gevir, Director of the Library, Dr. R. Rozet and representatives of the Yad Vashem Archives. In the name of participants spoke Miško Stanišić, director of Terraforming, an NGO from Serbia that was engaged in the implementation of this project. Ambassador Milutin Stanojević addressed participants and expressed gratitude to the hosts for the organization of the seminar, emphasizing the importance of cooperation in the field of studying the Holocaust.
