Director of the Agency for restitution of Serbia Mr. Strahinja Sekulic visited Israel from 14 to 17 May, 2018. The visit was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Social Equality of Israel, where Mr. Sekulic had working meetings. On this occasion, the Israeli side has once again stressed that Serbian legislation is a model for regulating issues of restitution of property to heirless Holocaust victims, a fact that Israel and relevant Jewish organizations have been publically praising, calling on other countries to follow Serbia’s example. During the visit Mr. Sekulic had talks with the representatives of the Jewish World Organization and the World Jewish Congress, and met representatives of the Association of emigrants from former Yugoslavia.
