Group of Ambassadors from the Balkans visited the Assembly of the City of Ashdod on July 25, 2019 upon the invitation by the Deputy Mayor Eli Nacht with whom they met along with other city officials. Apart from the Ambassador of Serbia, the activity was participated by the Ambassadors of Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Albania.

During the visit many possible ways of enhancing the cooperation were examined, through mutual activities, and also on the bilateral level with each of these countries, by means of strengthening the links between the cities, for which the city of Ashodod being the 6th biggest Israeli city and strategic port, as well as industrial and cultural center has great potentials. Possibilities of mutual projects by these Balkan countries were discussed, especially in the economy, technology and innovations, as well as culture in the form of “Balkan Day” organized in the city of Ashdod.
