On September 26, 2019 Ambassador Milutin Stanojević received Mr. Marko Bogdanović and Mr. Veljko Gušić, representatives of the Peštan Company from Arandjelovac, Serbia and Mr. Nisim Laham and Mr. Aleksandar Nikolić, representatives of the Gaon Group based in Or Yehuda in Israel.
The Peštan Company manufactures and exports variety of products for irrigation and household needs. It already exports world-wide, to 64 countries, and this year their products will reach Israeli market. The pipe-shaped products are intented for both low-rise and high-rise construction, and range of needs for water supply, heating, sewage treatment, drainage and cable protection. Products are made of polyethylene, polypropylene and PVC.
Gaon Group is Israel's leading public company in the field of water and energy infrastructure, with high financial credibility. The second largest, among its eight factories, is Plassim from the Merhavi kibbutz, near Afula in the Lower Galilee, which directly obtains products from Peštan. Contacts between the two companies were established during 2018, and since February 2019 container shipments from Serbia have started.
