Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Nikola Selakovic extended his congratulations for Hanukkah to Rabbi Isak Asiel and members of the Jewish community in Serbia. 

 

"On the occasion of Hanukkah, the festival of lights, one of the greatest Jewish holidays, I would like to extend to you and all members of the Jewish community in Serbia, most sincere congratulations from the bottom of my heart, and my wish that the lighting of candles reminds us of the meaning of the everlasting light of God's love which encourages us to preserve the memory of our faith and tradition", reads the congratulatory message by the Foreign Minister.

 

Minister Selakovic wished the believers to spend this joyous holiday with their loved ones "under the light of Hanukkah candles, inspired by the warmth and love of God".

 

"May today's holiday of warmth and light be an opportunity to together recall the idea in all of us that by safekeeping our faith we can respond to all challenges of the modern society. Happy Hanukkah!", reads the congratulatory message by the Serbian Foreign Minister
